Remove the protective backing liner and stick the window film directly to the inside of your window. Within 30 days your window will be full protected security glass. Security window film strengthens the glass. At 175 microns thick, it gives the same protection as our safety window film but the extra thickness gives increased protection. This added protection can ward off repeat attacks from wannabe burglars. Security glass film holds the window in place when it’s hit. The glass may still crack, but all these harmful shards of glass are held in place, protecting your loved ones.

All of our anti shatter window films are tested to British and European standards. Security film has been extensively tested and achieves BS EN 12600 class 1A1 (formerly BS 6206 Class A). This gives you the complete piece if mind that the film is strong enough to protect you when you need it. Security window film can stand up to repeated attacks with bricks, bats and crow bars. Like with any security product, if someone wants to get into your property they will do. Most burglars will run away and find an easier property if their initial attacks are in vein. Can this film be installed on the outside face of a window?

You can install it externally without any issues. the warranty is for internal application. If installing externally then I would recommend sealing the edges with silicone to prolong the life.

Can this be used on rough cast glass?

It depends how textured the glass is. If you send your address to us we can send a sample for you to test.

Why does the description say that the glass will be protected within 30 days? what happens if it is scratched before that?

The film is designed to hold the glass in place when hit by an object or someone trying to break in rather than to preven the glass getting scratched. It is a thicker film than standard window films so will offer some protection. It takes up to 30 days to fully cure which means it won’t offer maximum security protection until up to 30
Days. It could be sooner than this depending on the weather conditions and how warm the property is.

Your instructions say in last paragraph of step 3 to use a rubber squeegee to remove all traces of water from the glass. But first paragraph of step 5 says ….at this point you should have a wet window….
They contradict each other. Which is correct?

Step 3 says to use a glass scraper to clean the glass, and step 5 says to use a lint-free cloth to wipe the edges. Can you let me know where you are referring to?
